Thank you to everyone who has responded to our recent advocacy requests!  There is still work to be done to help protect the services our individuals rely on every day, provided by our hardworking employees. If you receive a request from us to send a message to your legislators, please open the request and send a message. It takes less than a minute to do, and please know that you can contact your legislators more than once. There is no limit to how much advocacy you can do!

If you are new to advocacy and are unsure of where to start, then this post is for you! Advocacy can include writing letters, making phone calls, attending town halls, or visiting your legislator’s office.  The flyer below provides more information on why we need to increase our advocacy efforts at this time, and also includes a link to locate your legislators and representatives.

Click here for a sample advocacy letter that can be edited to include your name and address and be sent to your legislators.

We hope you consider increasing your advocacy efforts at this time, or start to advocate if you have not done so already!
