A few words about us…

Since its inception in 1994, the team at Supportive Behavioral Resources (SBR) have worked together to provide quality experienced services and individual choice that are a cornerstone of our mission. We are committed to providing individualized and unique supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, co-occurring Behavioral Health diagnoses, and those on the Autism Spectrum.

Through this process, our supports strategy incorporates respect, caring, and knowledge as our underlying philosophy. Families are an integral part of an individual’s success and is incorporated into our mission as well.

SBR services include Home and Community Habilitation, Community Participation, Companion Care, Respite Care, Residential Living, and Clinical (Behavior) & Educational Supports.

Our experienced team

  • Linda Tieri - President
    Co-founder of SBR, Linda brings more than 30 years of organizational talent and management experience with an advocate’s focus. Linda possesses a keen eye for detail and the vision to coordinate the multitude of projects that maintain quality. Besides, someone has to keep everyone on track to lead the over 450 employees of SBR and incorporate their support needs into the agency’s strategic plan.  She is the voice of reason and the driving force to ensure that our mission of Respect, Caring, and Knowledge permeates all decisions and actions.
  • Francesco Tieri - CEO
    Co-founder of SBR, Frank’s skill as a Behavior Specialist created the vision that evolved into the organization that SBR is today.  Frank brings his uniquely humorous style to the group.  Over 40 years working with, listening to, and joining with individuals and their families have shaped his philosophy, direction, and commitment to crafting meaningful supports for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, co-occurring disorders, and Autism.  A real risk taker when someone’s happiness and well-being is at stake, Frank ’s collaborative approach supports people to make their own way.
  • Nina Parker - Executive Director and Psychologist
    Nina is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and for 25 years has supported adults with Intellectual Disabilities and co-occurring disorders. She completed her post-doctoral work treating children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and sexual trauma. Nina is skilled in Treatment Foster Care and has been providing Outpatient Therapy for 15 years with 8 of those years evaluating children for Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services. Nina is a proven clinical leader and capably directs large groups of professional staff in SBR’s Clinical/Behavior Support services.
  • Paula Grochowski - Family Services Director
    Paula has been instrumental in the development of the Family Services Department since its inception in
    2004. Beginning by supporting a handful of individuals mostly with family chosen staff under the newly
    formed ID waivers, SBR Family Services has since grown to now supporting more than 300 individuals
    and their families. Paula is responsible for the direction a team of managers and supervisors that
    coordinate and oversees more than 300 staff providing in home and community, companion,
    community participation and respite support.
    Residing in Northeast Philadelphia, Paula is married and the mother of 4 grown children; she adores
    her granddaughter and for relaxation enjoys crafting.
  • Carla Higgins - Professional Development Manager
    Carla believes that passion for your work with a huge dose of light and levity is fundamental to being an effective leader. She has been leading and creating effective pathways for organizational communication and building insightful and collaborative teams for 30 years. She is highly skilled in creating environmental and behavioral supports for adults and children with  Intellectual Disabilities and Autism, with special attention for individuals who are medically fragile.  Carla is an  Instructor for American Heart Association Heartsavers First Aid and CPR/AED including Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED; Pennsylvania ODP Medication Administration; and an authorized PQAS Specialty Discipline Instructor for Early Childhood Educators.
  • Lou Bratelli - Residential Director
    Lou believes strongly in personal responsibility. He has spent the last 22 years of his life working in
    Residential services, promoting his ideals to the individuals he serves, and the staff that support them.
    Much like his peers on the Leadership team, Lou has faith that levity and light-heartedness goes a long
    way. It is through this unique approach that SBR’s mission is met.
